I am a Black Queer and Nonbinary Therapist, I value the entirety of others and acknowledge their intersectionality- Your identity is essential to your experience.
I began my studies at the Community College of Philadelphia taking every psychology course available. I continued my studies at Temple University and received my Bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in Cognitive Neuroscience and Spanish. I completed my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and School Counseling also at Temple University.
Some of my experience is drawn from working in education, from preschool to introductory college courses, and clinical from co-morbidity to substance abuse. I worked as a tutor, mentor and instructor, I also worked as a job coach. My work includes a diverse group of experiences. I have worked with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, justice involved, LGBTQ+, and individuals that speak Spanish as a primary language.
My experience as a therapist is primarily driven from understanding that we all can grow and thrive through grave trauma and generations of dysfunction. I have a deep belief in my clients and their success, the effort put into personal development is the key factor in the therapeutic relationship.
Areas that my educational background have provided training in includes, Multicultural counseling, diagnosis, group therapy, school counseling, and career counseling,
I have worked as a Drug and Alcohol Therapist and a Mobile Crisis Therapist with the Crisis Intervention Response Team (C.I.R.T.)
My primary approach as an eclectic therapist is holistic, trauma-informed approach, and a varied set of interventions depending on what is most beneficial to the client's well-being.
